Damage is calculated by the age of the calves date of birth minus the dam date of birth, this is then truncated to the nearest year. E.g. a dam calving at 1.9 years will show in the 1 year category. ""Unknown"" are those dams which do not have their date of birth recorded. ""Default"" are those dams which were born prior to 1 July 1996 that were not registered until 2000 where the keeper did not know their date of birth so a default birth date was given.
