Appointments Commission

Responsibility for the appointment of chairs and non-executive directors of NHS trusts and NHS Charities transferred to the NHS Trust Development Authority (NHS TDA) on 1 October 2012. They were previously made by the Appointments Commission, which was abolished on 31 October 2012.
