Pension Credit early estimates

An early estimate of the number of individuals and households receiving Pension Credit and the average amount in payment broken down by payment type. Recipients are those people who claim PC either on behalf of themselves or on behalf of a household. This number is equal to the number of households in receipt of PC.

Notes: Individual Beneficiary figures count the total number of individuals in benefit units where Pension Credit is in payment. Therefore each couple benefit unit is counted as two individual beneficiaries.
