Important Open Area

Undeveloped open areas within or closely associated with settlements and which are defined as making an amenity contribution to the setting of the settlements concerned. Areas defined as important open areas do not necessarily have public access or any use other than for visual amenity They are of visual historic cultural or functional importance.
