Habitats Directive: Article 17 Terrestrial Habitat Features

The Habitats Directive Article 17 reporting maps are a snapshot of the most up to date spatial data for features listed on the various Annexes of the Directive at the time of reporting. They represent the current known extent and location of features in Wales. The latest 10km2 habitat distribution maps submitted as part of the official Article 17 reporting can be obtained from the JNCC: European reporting | JNCC - Adviser to Government on Nature Conservation. The maps are reviewed and updated every 6 years as part of the Habitats Directive reporting process. (Since EU exit now replaced by Regulation 9a of the Conservation and Species Regulations 2017).
