Habitat point records from 1997 MNCR/SNH St Kilda sublittoral survey

This was part of a joint MNCR and SNH survey of the St Kilda cSAC. This survey concentrated on areas that would not be sampled using the ROV, such as within caves and close in shore on the vertical rock. It complements the other survey work (RoxAnn & ROV ground-truthing) to map the sublittoral habitats around the islands. All specimens collected during this survey were subsequently identified by the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. The results of specimens identified after the survey have been incorporated into the habitat records. Abundance for all species identifed by NMS is denoted by 'P' (Present) and SP indicates a specimen has been keep. All the specimens are available via the NMS. Records currently considered sensitive have been removed from this dataset.
