The FCA's latest Prescribed Persons Annual Report 2024/25 covers whistleblowing disclosures made to it, from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. During this period, it received and assessed 1,131 new whistleblowing reports.
The FCA relies on whistleblowing, as it’s a crucial source of intelligence in identifying and disrupting harm. Whistleblowing reports continue to rise, but the FCA is working efficiently to resolve them, and has taken action on over 50% of the whistleblowing disclosures that it receives.
Of those reports, the FCA reviewed and closed 46%, compared to 19% of reports the previous year.
