MCZ: Farnes East: Multibeam survey FRNE_26_2012: Southern North Sea (01/03/2012 to 20/03/2012)

EGS (International) Ltd was contracted to carry out an acoustic bathymetric survey of Lot 26 (Farnes East) during February and March 2012. The survey was conducted to acquire seabed data in order to later assess the suitability of the survey area as a Marine Conservation Zone. Full coverage multibeam survey collecting bathymetry and backscatter to client specifications, namely International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Order 1a standard, WGS84 latitude and longitude co-ordinates collected by Differential Global Positioning System (D-GPS), depths corrected to Chart Datum (CD). Raw and processed data delivered to Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science, UK (Cefas) complete with georeferenced mosaics and GeoTiffs images.
