Abundance of carabid ground beetles from pitfall trapping on farmland sites in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, 2022

This dataset contains unmodified abundances of carabid ground beetle species from a pitfall trap survey across a series of farmland sites in Southern England. Sampling took place in August and September of 2022, in five landholdings in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Each parcel was sampled with between 3 and 9 pitfall traps, depending on size and microhabitat heterogeneity. Unmodified abundances at the species level, cross-classified by parcel and by pitfall, are contained within this dataset. The intent for the experimental design was to cross classify abundances of key predatory invertebrates by habitat type and condition.
