Sheffield Cycle Routes

This dataset shows cycle routes in Sheffield.

The data shows three types of cycle route, with a sub category of where routes interact with the tram tracks which are marked as a hazard.

The 3 types of route can be classified as the following: Cycle Track - A shared or segregated route, segregated from traffic by kerb upstand or other margin. Off Road – Routes that typically but not exclusively run through green areas such as parks, nature reserves or woodland, surfacing is variable but is predominantly tarmac. Quiet roads - These are quieter roads, low traffic levels and help create a logical network / logical routes between key points or infrastructure as described above. Other quiet roads are available. Every effort has been made to make this map useful and reliable, but please note that the representation of a road or trail is no guarantee that a route can be legally or safely cycled. Follow local signage and use your best judgement when cycling. SCC cannot be held responsible for changes that occur after publication.
